Over at wwe.com, there is a 'top 25 most impactful women' column which features Ivory in it. Out of the 25 ranked divas in the column, Ivory came in at 23. Here's the piece that was written on Ivory;
"A competitor for more than two decades, Ivory grappled in the short-lived Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling promotion in the 1980s before arriving in WWE more than a decade later. Disgusted by the prevelance of bikini contests that greeted her when she arrived, Ivory set her sights on cleaning up the Divas division. While her quest for censorship wasn't always successful, the double-tough Diva did win the Women's Championship on three occasions, beating the likes of Fabulous Moolah and Lita in the process. Ivory's views may not have always been popular, but her courage would inspire the likes of Molly Holly and Beth Phoenix."
There are two things that bother me with this column. Aside from the obvious fact that Ivory was only placed 23rd on this supposed "impactful list", when her impact through the late 90's and early millenium years saw her as one of the most used females in the company, the main thing that bothers me is that WWE has placed Kelly Kelly & Michelle McCool ahead of her. I'm still waiting to find out what exactly Kelly has done to make her any kind of impact? Michelle, granted, has come a long way since she first arrived in the company, but had it not been for the diva search - which always defied watching at the best of times - she wouldn't be here. True, she was the first woman to have held both divas and womens titles, but I still believe that that's something she didn't deserve. Placing Ivory 23rd behind both of these women is somewhat of an insult. I have nothing against the other women on the list, but I'm sure that Ivory had a slightly bigger impact than some of them too. Disappointment.
On a side note, I'm happy that Luna, Molly Holly & Jacqueline were included on it, but where's Jazz? Did she not create an impact while she was in the company. I'm sure she had more of an impact than Kelly. And are WWE holding off on adding Victoria due to her playing the role of Tara in TNA? Because if not, then I'm sure she deserves a spot on this list too. My own personal list would look a little something like this (and yes, although I would like to place Ivory at the top, I agree she wasn't the most impactful diva in the company...she does however, rank higher than WWE's list);
