Ivory & Jacqueline Challenge Stephanie

purplefusions

Michael Cole interviewed Triple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley before his title defense and Cole asked Stephanie whether or not she would defend the Women's title ever. Ivory and Jacqueline then came onto the scene, making their claims for the title belt which Stephanie currently held. Stephanie agreed to put the title on the line against whoever could win a battle royal on Smackdown! the following week.

Ivory & Terri Vs. Jacqueline & The Kat

purplefusions

Ivory & Terri Vs. Jacqueline & The Kat. While Ivory had been having her feud with Jackie, Terri and The Kat had also been having their feud with one another. Ivory and Jackie started the match off, with Jacqueline getting the upper hand and almost pinning Ivory for the three count. However, Terri got in the ring and broke it up. Ivory got a snapmare in on Jacqueline, but was soon overtaken by her opponent with a monkey flip across the ring. As Jacqueline did a backslide pin to Ivory, Terri once again broke it up. While The Kat went for Terri, the referee was distracted by her and so Terri tried pulling Jacqueline away from Ivory. Not a good idea. The referee became distracted by Ivory this time instead and as Jacqueline approached Terri, she backed up into The Kat. The referee got Jackie out of the ring and The Kat and Terri went at it. Kat managed to throw Terri out of the ring and she tried hightailing it up the ramp. The Kat caught up with her though and the two went rolling down the ramp. Terri started choking The Kat until the referee broke them up. Kat got back into the ring and as she turned around, Terri speared her to the mat. When the Kat gained the upper hand, Ivory got into the ring and went for an attack only for Jacqueline to clothesline her down. Kat & Jacqueline then whipped Ivory & Terri into one another, knocking them out. Jackie and The Kat then stood above their opponents, swinging their hips before sitting down for the cover. Two count as both Ivory and Terri reversed, only to get another two count. The Kat body slammed Terri and as the referee was distracted trying to get Jackie out of the ring, Ivory dropped an elbow to The Kat, before throwing Terri on top of her for the cover. The ref then went to get Ivory out of the ring and Jacqueline returned the favour, dropping an elbow to Terri and putting Kat on top of Terri, earning them the three count fall for the win

New Images!!!

Images of Lisa from the G.L.O.W reunion that took place a short while ago have been added to the gallery. Lisa still looks as fresh as she did in her WWE career. Check them out as plenty of ladies from the G.L.O.W promotion made the reunion including Matilda The Hun, Little Fiji, Hollywood and many others.

In a few weeks, I'll be having a look back at Lisa's G.L.O.W/P.O.W.W days with new images from back then and videos featuring her days there. (This will by no means stop my Flashback's from her WWE days though. Another WWE Flashback will be available in a few days or so).

Ivory Ranks 23rd!?
Over at wwe.com, there is a 'top 25 most impactful women' column which features Ivory in it. Out of the 25 ranked divas in the column, Ivory came in at 23. Here's the piece that was written on Ivory;

"A competitor for more than two decades, Ivory grappled in the short-lived Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling promotion in the 1980s before arriving in WWE more than a decade later. Disgusted by the prevelance of bikini contests that greeted her when she arrived, Ivory set her sights on cleaning up the Divas division. While her quest for censorship wasn't always successful, the double-tough Diva did win the Women's Championship on three occasions, beating the likes of Fabulous Moolah and Lita in the process. Ivory's views may not have always been popular, but her courage would inspire the likes of Molly Holly and Beth Phoenix."

There are two things that bother me with this column. Aside from the obvious fact that Ivory was only placed 23rd on this supposed "impactful list", when her impact through the late 90's and early millenium years saw her as one of the most used females in the company, the main thing that bothers me is that WWE has placed Kelly Kelly & Michelle McCool ahead of her. I'm still waiting to find out what exactly Kelly has done to make her any kind of impact? Michelle, granted, has come a long way since she first arrived in the company, but had it not been for the diva search - which always defied watching at the best of times - she wouldn't be here. True, she was the first woman to have held both divas and womens titles, but I still believe that that's something she didn't deserve. Placing Ivory 23rd behind both of these women is somewhat of an insult. I have nothing against the other women on the list, but I'm sure that Ivory had a slightly bigger impact than some of them too. Disappointment.

On a side note, I'm happy that Luna, Molly Holly & Jacqueline were included on it, but where's Jazz? Did she not create an impact while she was in the company. I'm sure she had more of an impact than Kelly. And are WWE holding off on adding Victoria due to her playing the role of Tara in TNA? Because if not, then I'm sure she deserves a spot on this list too. My own personal list would look a little something like this (and yes, although I would like to place Ivory at the top, I agree she wasn't the most impactful diva in the company...she does however, rank higher than WWE's list);

25. Stacy Keibler
24. Alundra Blayze
23. Mae Young
22. Jacqueline
21. Luna Vachon
20. Wendi Richter
19. Terri Runnels
18. Torrie Wilson
17. Miss Elizabeth
16. Ivory
15. Molly Holly
14. Jazz
13. Victoria
12. Beth Phoenix
11. Melina
10. Sunny
09. Sensational Sherri
08. Debra
07. Stephanie McMahon
06. Mickie James
05. Chyna
04. Lita
03. Sable
02. Fabulous Moolah
01. Trish Stratus

How does your list look?

Ivory Attacks Crash

purplefusions

Backstage, the reigning hardcore champion Crash Holly was getting a backrub from Ivory. As Crash started relaxing, Ivory called in a referee and told Crash she was going to get some oil for his back. Instead, taking advantage of the 24/7 rule on the hardcore belt, Ivory grabbed a candy jar, smashed it over Crash's head and rolled him onto the floor, trying to get the pin. Crash kicked out at two, and escaped with his title a little stunned.

Ivory Vs. Jacqueline

purplefusions

Ivory Vs. Jacqueline (c) For The Women's title. Both women got in each other's face until Ivory slapped Jacqueline, knocking her to the mat. Jacqueline got right back up and chased Ivory around the ring. Both diva's got back inside the ring and took one another out with a clothesline to each other. Both women were very slow at getting up, but Jacqueline managed to toss Ivory across the ring by her hair first. As Jacqueline went to attack again, Ivory countered by slamming some rights and lefts and an elbow into Jacqueline's face before going for a bulldog, which Jacqueline in turn countered and shoved Ivory across the ring onto her ass! Ivory got back to her feet and delivered a couple of arm drags to Jacqueline before putting a wrist lock on the champion. Jacqueline managed to counter this though and delivered a short arm clothesline that almost beheaded Ivory. Jacqueline then dropped an elbow to Ivory and went for the pin. Ivory got her foot on the rope and as Jacqueline argued with the referee, Ivory clobbered her from behind before whipping her off the ropes. Ivory once again went for a clothesline, but Jacqueline hooked the arm and delivered her deadly DDT for the win.
